Women of Color Leadership Project
MA student Breya Johnson and I represented the Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Program at GWU at the National Women's Studies Association's leadership training and strategic planning workshop. This was held at their annual conference in Nov 14-17, 2019: for their NWSA Women of Color Leadership Project, 2019-2020. At the conference, I presented my research on "Gender, Migration, and the Crisis of Secular Citizenship" on the panel, "Gender, Citizenship, and the State: Border-Crossing in South Asia" with Professors Supriya Nair (U of Michigan, Ann Arbor) and Purnima Bose (Indiana University, Bloomington).
